Country Connects – Tara Hill – ** NEW DATE JANUARY 26TH 2025**

Wexford Walking Trails together with Wexford Country Council, Healthy Wexford and the Irish Farmer’s Association are inviting you to get outdoors and explore some of Wexford’s fabulous country trails.  All walks are well established and are fully Sport Ireland accredited trails.  This month’s walk is a lovely ramble through the woods on Tara Hill.  Strong footwear and waterproofs are recommended.

Starting off from the trailhead sign in St Kevin’s Church Car Park, Tara Hill, we will take in two lovely trails which meander up through Coillte owned forests.  These trails will bring you along atmospheric laneways which open out to reveal wonderful views of nearby mountains and our beautiful coastline.  Stunning views, a wide variety of flora and interesting insights into Tara Hill’s fascinating historical past.

Facilities are adjacent to carpark and teas/coffees will be served after our walk in the nearby school.

  • Bring a fully charged mobile smartphone to take part in Country Connects Captures 
  • Wear suitable clothing and comfortable footwear suitable for walking outdoors.
  • Bring water and a snack with you.
