Wexford Walking Trails together with Wexford Country Council, Healthy Wexford and the Irish Farmer’s Association are inviting you to get outdoors and explore some of Wexford’s fabulous country trails. The walks will take place on our established and fully Sport Ireland accredited trails. Carnsore Point Trail begins in the very attractive seaside village of Carne with its Blue Flag Beach. The trail leads you down to a wonderful coastal path leading on to Nethertown Beach. You will continue south along the coast towards the wind farm to bring you to Carnsore Point, the most south easterly point in Ireland. Always under the watchful eye of Tuskar Rock Lighthouse. A very interesting and informative walk at any time of the year, one to put in your diary. Pub, shop and toilet facilities are open all day in the Holiday Park and we will all be most welcome after our walk.
Our Country Connects Captures, a project funded by Creative Ireland Wexford, continues this month. A professional photographer will accompany us and will provide hints and tips for capturing nature photographs on your camera phone. Learn a creative skill while enjoying the great outdoors!
