The Curragh Wood Trail just outside Kilanerin village has re-opened following essential maintenance during September (2022).
The works included a new stream crossing and new trail surface from the road to the bridge.
The project was funded by the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) 2020, Coillte and with the support and assistance of Wexford County Council through Wexford Walking Trails CLG.
In addition to improving the trail for walkers, the completed work will allow machinery access for future trail maintenance, as well as further improvements planned under ORIS 2021.
