Courtown Woods – Spike Footbridge Closed
21/02/25: Coillte have closed Spike Footbridge in Courtown Wood due to deterioration in the bridge condition. The footbridge will remain closed until necessary rehabilitation works are undertaken on the structure. Coillte have placed the works on a priority list but cannot confirm when these funds will be made available. Access from the Ballymoney Road across the river to Courtown will not be possible. However, walks within the wood on either side of the river will remain open, just not across the river. Any further queries should be directed to Coillte at 0818 367378 or info@coillte.ie.
St Helens Trails – Beach entrance damaged
05/02/25: Please take care at ‘the entrance to the beach at Ballytrent’. Significant storm damage has made the pathway hazardous and extreme care must be taken.
FORTH MOUNTAIN Trails – TREES DOWN
12/12/24: Following Storm Darragh over the weekend of 6th-8th December 2024, a number of trees have fallen across the trails on Forth Mountain. The locations are indicated on the map included here. Every effort is being made to clear these trail routes as soon as possible.

Rosslare Harbour Village Trails
02/12/24: The improvement works on the cliff walk between the RNLI watch box and the Playground will begin this week. Diversion signs will in place at both ends to reroute walkers along the trail. The job is expected to be completed within 2 weeks. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused but the work is designed to improve access and to make it safer for all.
Ballymoney, Cahore, Courtown and Kilanerin
18/11/24: Accessibility works are currently under way at Ballymoney, Cahore, Courtown and Kilanerin and will continue over the next few weeks.
Cullentra Trail, Kiltealy
11/10/24 : Kiltealy Walking Trail from Hickeys Lane/ Mahons corner to main road is closed for the next month or so. Check for updates.
Ramsfort Woods, Gorey
20/05/24: Maintenance work has commenced this week on the trails at Ramsfort Woods. Parts of the trails may be closed until work is completed.
