Our next Country Connects walk takes place on Sunday October 29th 2023 in Kilmore Quay along the Ballyteige Burrow Trail.
Wexford Walking Trails together with Wexford Country Council, Healthy Wexford and the Irish Farmer’s Association are inviting you to get outdoors and explore some of Wexford’s fabulous country trails. The walks will take place on our established and fully Sport Ireland accredited trails. The trails are mainly graded as moderate and are suitable for people with a moderate level of fitness but care is required. Good outdoor walking footwear, suitable clothing and snacks/drinks are all recommended.

Meeting at Stella Maris Centre, Kilmore Quay, Y35 TH9W
Trail: Ballyteige Burrow Loop – 5 km
Grade: Moderate
Duration: 1 – 1.5 hrs
Teas/coffees/biscuits will be served in the Stella Maris Centre following the walk. Toilet facilities will also be available.
Flora and fauna that is found in abundance on this trail makes Ballyteigue Burrow an area of international conservation importance. Spectacular panoramic views of beautiful Ballyteigue Bay, Kilmore Quay, the Saltees, Hook Lighthouse, Forth Mountain and Ballyteigue Castle will surround you as you walk along the coast. Kilmore Ballyteigue Burrow Trail is a wonderful place to visit.
