Coillte have closed Spike Footbridge in Courtown Wood due to deterioration in the bridge condition. The footbridge will remain closed until necessary rehabilitation works are undertaken on the structure. Coillte have placed the works on a priority list but cannot confirm when these funds will be made available. Access from the Ballymoney Road across the river to Courtown will not be possible. However, walks within the wood on either side of the river will remain open, just not across the river. Any further queries should be directed to Coillte at 0818 367378 or info@coillte.ie.
