Country Connects – Annagh Hill

Annagh Hill Trails will be the venue for the first of our Autumn Walks 2025.  Wexford Walking Trails together with Wexford Country Council, Healthy Wexford and the Irish Farmer’s Association are looking forward to introducing you to trails that have been graded and accredited by Sport Ireland.  Yellow Belly Trail is graded as strenuous and, therefore, will require a high level of fitness with some steep and uneven sectionsTurnaround Trail is graded as moderate and will suit walkers with a moderate level of fitness and with some walking experience.  You can choose on the day!!  Specific outdoor walking footwear and clothing will be required.   Drinks and snacks recommended.

Starting in Ballynabarney, these trails boast views across County Wexford and beyond to the Wicklow Mountains.   Birds of prey and the occasional deer have been spotted!

The Gap Pub will be open for business both before and after our walk.

October’s walk will take place on Sunday 26th St Helens to Carne and back. 

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • Bring a fully charged mobile smartphone 
  • Wear suitable clothing and comfortable footwear suitable for walking outdoors.
  • Bring water and a snack with you.
